I only got the chance to create a couple of images on Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day this year. Unfortunately the decision to use the Pinhole Assist App on my iPhone to estimate exposure turned out to be more of a risk than hoped. Not long now to Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day (WPPD). Now in its twelfth year this international event expects to break last year’s record that saw the participation of over 3300 photographers. Promoting the fantasy, art, fun and experience of lens-less photography WPPD 2012 will occur on April 29, 2012.

‘Of Passionate Things’ is the third and final exhibition in a series of mini exhibitions held at 69 Smith Street Gallery.

Created in New York during July and August 2011 ‘Of Passionate Things’ reflects on the emotion and intimacy of the NY jazz scene.

The B&H superstore in New York offers some great seminars.

I recently attended a seminar with Lindsay Adler where she showed us some tips and tricks of natural lighting. The thing I like about B&H (apart from the fact that the seminars are Free) is that they are hands on.

Pinhole Gathering 2011

Now in its third year the Pinhole Gathering is a unique opportunity for pinhole photographers to get together for a weekend (10-11 September 2011) to share views and pinhole stories while photographing in the beautiful Trentham region. Black & white sheet and chemistry has been kindly donated by Foma (we love you Foma). There will also be a guest pinhole photographer as well as David Tatnall to show their latest pinhole work including wet plate glass negatives made on a pinhole camera.
